The Paul M. Marantz Lighting Design Scholarship

The Paul M. Marantz Lighting Design Scholarship is offered to a student who exhibits a firm and joyful commitment to the Art, Science, and Craft of lighting design. Paul M. Marantz possessed these attributes in abundance; and so should the successful applicant.

Applicants must be in their final year (4th year of a 4-year program or 5th year of a 5-year program) of an undergraduate architectural lighting program. Applicants must be proposed by the primary faculty contact at their university’s lighting program and hold at least a 3.5 GPA (or institutional equivalent).

The scholarship award is a lump sum $10,000 paid directly to one student annually. This amount is intended to be a meaningful contribution towards the cost of their education.

The application process is administered by The Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education. The Fund will identify qualified programs; their primary faculty contacts will propose candidates for the Scholarship award. The Nuckolls Fund and one advisor from Fisher Marantz Stone will select the recipient. If your lighting program (certificate or diploma) would like to be considered, please contact Jeanne Clemente at the Nuckolls Fund.

The Paul M. Marantz Lighting Design Scholarship is supported by donations to the Nuckolls Fund in memory of Paul Marantz,
