Starting in 2020, the New York City Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society will increase the amount of its annual gift to The Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education to $10,000, as announced by President Mike Barr. “This notable increase will enable us to better serve the burgeoning needs of the lighting educational community”, offered Fund President Lee Waldron, “especially as new technologies in light sources, luminaires and their smart controllability.”
Since the formation of The Nuckolls Fund in 1988, the IESNY has continued to provide regular contributions until it began an annual contribution of $5,000 to allow the growth of new and continuing lighting curricula for numerous architectural and interior design programs through the Traditional Nuckolls and Lesley Wheel Grants.
